Northwest Ohio Backyard Go Kart League

The IDIOTS series (International Dirt in Ohio Trophy Series) was born out of the need to bring the fun back into competitive dirt oval kart racing. Founders Tony Beaber and Clay Kirchenbauer found the cost of racing at the “professional” tracks to be expensive and the long days of waiting for 12 different divisions to race sucked the fun out of the sport. And when there’s money on the line tempers can flair! With the IDIOTS league there is no entry fee, no pit pass charge, no spectator fee and no purse. There are only two divisions, kids and adults. Drivers race for the fun of it and at the end of the day the winner gets a trophy.

The 2023 season consists of 7 points races at 6 different backyard tracks throughout Northwest Ohio. League costs, portable toilets and trophies are funded by the series sponsor Big D’s Pizza and the many individual race sponsors.
