The IDIOTS series is based on fun. There is no money to be won, only a trophy. Everyone is welcome to join us but keep in mind fighting, arguing and dirty racing will not be tolerated and can result in a disqualification or ban. We are here for fun and the love of the sport. The rules below are meant to help keep costs down and maintain a competitive field based on skill.
Adults
Engine
- Stock appearing Clone/Predator that must be pull started with a standard rope. No external compression release. 
- No strokers. Must be stock stroke. There will be a one year ban for stroker and $100 reinstatement fee. 
- No external billet parts. No billet side covers. 
- No external mods. 
- Must be a Clone or 212 Predator block. No Honda, Tillotson or other blocks. 
- No head studs, no side cover studs. Must use bolts. 
- Maximum 2.815 bore. One year ban for over-bored and $100 reinstatement fee. 
- Carb must be Predator/small block/Clone carb. 
- Carb cannot have external mods including welding or epoxy on the outside to allow bigger bore. 
- Max Butterfly size .750 
- .720 bore with .760 on corners 
- Choke can be removed and sealed 
- No fuel additives. There will be a one year ban for nitro and $100 reinstatement fee. (methanol and gasoline allowed) 
- No block bracing or head girdles. 
- No aftermarket carb spacer between carb and head and cannot be vented or pulsed into carb or intake anywhere (valve cover spacer allowed). 
- Pull starters must be on kart when on track at all times. Starters in pits for cold starts ok. 
- Manufactured Treaded tires only. Grooved Slicks not allowed 
Race
- Cannot change kart or motor during a race. between races is OK. 
- If you have a mechanical issue early in an A-main you are allowed to re-enter the track as long as it’s before halfway and rejoin the tail on the lead lap 
- Every yellow, all lap down karts go to tail and are back on the lead lap 
- Two drivers can share the same kart and arrange to be in opposite features, but no driver can race two different karts during race day. 
Safety
- Must wear long sleeves and have strapped helmet. 
- Must have bell/flare welded on end of pipes if facing outward. 
- Must have any exposed side panel tabs on nerf bars removed to protect tires. 
- No wedge side panels or external wings 
- No aluminum panels. 
- No nose pieces. 
- No toothed chain guards 
- Highly recommended that front bumper be taller than toes. 
- Highly recommended that rear bumper cover the left rear tire. 
- No weight limits or restrictions 
PROCEDURE
- Getting out of your kart to confront another competitor during a race is cause for immediate ejection from the rest of the day’s events 
- Holding up an event to challenge a flag man’s call can result in a black flag at flagman’s discretion 
- No crew members allowed on race track to argue calls with a flag man
